I live in the Surrey hills in England. This presents incredible opportunities for me as a cyclist and as an artist. I love the state of "flying" and changing the "scenery" around you along the way. This is one of my works about cycling and nature. How beautiful it can be. "On my way" is the philosophy of my work. A cyclist is not a person who just sits on or rides a bicycle. This is the image of a determined person who took a step. They are moving, they are looking for ahead, they are looking around, they decide where to turn. They are alone or in company. At this moment, the mind is clear and calm and in the present. I feel all this whilst riding a bike and in the process of creating a picture with a cyclist. Therefore, "on my way" for me is not just passing from point A to point B. This is a state of mind and soul. That's why the cyclist is my hero.
Creating these works, I wanted to have something on which the eye can stop for better concentration. It seems important to me to organise my thoughts and carefully monitor the mood of the mind. I "see" such work near the workplace. Look at it and dive into the task without stopping. I like to follow the movement of the spots. At this moment, I am perfectly reflecting on our affairs and tasks. I would say it's ideal art for an office or for a bedroom.
