MY STORY
I studied and became passionate about art at a wonderful school as a child, and then at the Art University of Russia, or to be more precise, in Western Siberia in the city of Tyumen. A huge number of wonderful memories are associated with this time. I never thought that I should do something else with my life. All I wanted when I was a child was to shut myself in away and draw. After studying differing styles of art, I finally decided to focus on watercolor and acrylic as a medium. All Artists hone their skills by working on a variety of projects, I realised that my preference lay in painting landscapes, roads, cyclists and flowers. All of them require and element of colour, light, texture and imagination. My work to date reflects this, as you can see in my portfolio (link to three pages of the site). I have participated in a large number of exhibitions both working as a graphic designer and as an artist in Moscow, St. Petersburg and Tyumen. I moved to England in 2011 after the birth of my only child, and at this time made a decision to focus primarily on watercolours. If you have worked with watercolours, then of course you understand that this is a very tricky technique in which their is a very fine line between being in control of the process and at times being unable to to do so. I find this fascinating, to evolve and improve requires time and dedication, this is the only way to improve. In England, I participated in several group exhibitions. Such as Russian Art 2019 and Solo exhibition - September 2020.
